Watershed Adventures of a Water Bottle

Watershed Adventures of a Water Bottle

If you have young readers at home this is a great book about the outdoors and what can happen in our ecosystem when something disrupts it.

Follow along as a personified water bottle is accidentally blown from the garbage and makes it’s way through the watershed all of the way to the Atlantic Ocean! Along the way the waterbottle meets other animals such as a turtle, a puffin, and more. Each animal teaches the water bottle about it’s origins and other pollutants in the watershed.

The book ends with “10 tips to Reduce the Use of Disposable Plastic”, several online resources for more information, and a glossary of terms used in the book such as algae, eddy, proboscis, and more.

I highly recommend this book. The book itself is a quick read with 36 pages minus the tips, online resources, and glossary. Each page also features a great illustration to help younger readers visualize what they are reading.

Buy the book at Watershed Adventures of a Water Bottle here. The paperback sells for $7.99 and the ebook sells for $6.99.

100% of the author’s proceeds from the book are being donated equally to the Chesapeake Bay Trust and the Surfrider Foundation’s Rise Above Plastics program.
