I’ll have to check out Giant City State Park if I’m ever in the Chicago area Bob. I’m close I think maybe 5-6 hours from Cincinnati.

I grew up in Chicago but lived in the Shawnee Forest for over 20 years. Some of the best camping and hiking weather was in the fall. Giant City State park is a fantastic place to get a view.

I remember playing conkers as a child. Great fun. Unfortuantely many schools in the UK are banning children from playing due to the dreaded health and safety!
